New Essence Health Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 11, 2026
1. Who we are and what this policy covers
This Privacy Policy explains how New Essence Health, P.C. (“New Essence Health,” “we,” “us” or “our”) collects, uses and shares information when you visit newessencehealth.com (the “Website”), contact us, or book a discovery call or appointment through the Website.
New Essence Health is a direct primary care practice at 3143 E Shadowlawn Ave NE, Atlanta, GA 30305. Dr. Farzana Badrun provides in-person care in Buckhead, Atlanta and telemedicine to patients located in Georgia.
This policy applies to the Website and to marketing communications. It does not replace our HIPAA Notice of Privacy Practices, which explains how we use and protect the health information in your medical record once you become a patient. If the two ever differ for health information, the Notice of Privacy Practices controls.
By using the Website, you agree to this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Website.
2. Information we collect
We collect only what we need to respond to you and to run the Website.
Information you give us. When you fill out a contact or discovery-call form, schedule a visit, call, text or email us, we may collect your name, email address, phone number, preferred contact method, and the message you choose to write.
Information collected automatically. When you visit the Website, our servers and the tools described below may record your IP address, browser and device type, operating system, pages viewed, links clicked, referring page, approximate location (city or region), and the date and time of your visit.
Cookies and similar technologies. Cookies are small files stored on your device. We use them to keep the Website working, to understand how visitors use it, and, when we advertise, to measure how well our ads work and to show our ads to people who may be interested. You can control cookies as described in Section 8.
Please do not send us sensitive health details through the Website (see Section 5).
3. How we use information
We use the information we collect to:
- respond to your questions and schedule discovery calls or appointments;
- explain our membership and services;
- operate, secure and improve the Website;
- understand which pages and content are useful to visitors;
- advertise our services online and measure the performance of our advertising;
- send practice updates or health education you have asked for, with an easy way to opt out; and
- comply with legal obligations and protect our rights.
What we do not do. We do not sell your personal information. We do not use health information about you for advertising, and we do not build advertising audiences from visits to pages about health conditions or from information you share with us as a patient.
4. Google services on our Website
The Website uses Google services that place cookies or use similar technologies on your device. Google may collect information about your visit in line with its own privacy policy. We may add or change the tools we use over time, and this section applies to Google services we use now or add later.
Google Analytics. We use Google Analytics, and may use similar analytics tools, to learn how visitors find and use the Website (for example, which pages are viewed and for how long). Google Analytics collects data such as your IP address, device and browser details, and pages visited. We use this information in aggregate to improve the Website.
Online advertising and conversion measurement. We may advertise our services online, including through Google Ads. Third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies or similar identifiers to show our ads on Google and other websites and to measure whether an ad led to a call, form or booking. We may also use similar tools from other advertising or social media platforms, which have their own privacy policies and opt-out controls. We do not use remarketing or personalized-advertising lists based on health conditions or on any information that identifies you as a patient.
Google Business Profile, Maps and reCAPTCHA. We may show a map, link to our Google Business Profile, or use Google reCAPTCHA to protect our forms from spam. These services may collect your IP address and device information.
How to control Google’s use of your data.
5. Health information and HIPAA
The Website is for general information and for contacting us. It is not a secure place to share medical details, and it does not create a doctor-patient relationship.
- Please do not include diagnoses, symptoms, medications, test results or other sensitive health details in website forms, contact messages, emails or text messages. Call us at (770) 637-1544 instead, or wait until you are a patient and use our secure patient channels.
- Once you become a patient, the health information in your medical record is protected under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and Georgia law, and is handled as described in our Notice of Privacy Practices.
- In an emergency, call 911. Do not use the Website or email to ask for urgent medical help.
6. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only in these situations:
- Service providers that help us run the Website and the practice, such as website hosting, scheduling, email and text messaging, analytics and advertising providers. They may use the information only to provide services to us.
- Legal and safety reasons, when required by law, subpoena or court order, or to protect the rights, safety or property of our patients, the public or the practice.
- Business changes, if the practice is sold, merged or reorganized, in which case information may transfer to the new owner under terms at least as protective as this policy.
- With your consent, when you ask us to share information with someone.
Patient health information is shared only as permitted by HIPAA and described in our Notice of Privacy Practices.
7. Security and retention
We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards, including encrypted (HTTPS) connections on the Website. No method of sending or storing data online is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
We keep website inquiry information only as long as needed to respond to you and to meet legal or business needs, then delete or de-identify it. Medical records are kept for the periods required by Georgia law.
8. Your choices and rights
- Cookies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and you can use the Google opt-out links in Section 4. Blocking some cookies may affect how the Website works.
- Do Not Track. Browsers offer “Do Not Track” signals. Because there is no common standard for them, the Website does not currently respond to them.
- Emails and texts. Click “unsubscribe” in any marketing email, or reply STOP to a text, to opt out. We will still contact you about appointments or your account.
- Access, correction and deletion. You may ask what personal information we hold from your Website use, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Contact us using the details in Section 10. We may need to verify your identity and may keep information we are legally required to keep. Requests about your medical record follow HIPAA procedures.
- State privacy laws. Some states give residents additional rights over their personal information. If you live in one of these states, contact us and we will review your request under the law that applies.
9. Children, other websites and changes
Children. Our services are for adults aged 18 and older, and the Website is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Other websites. The Website may link to other sites, such as Google, social media or payment and scheduling providers. We do not control them and are not responsible for their privacy practices. Please read their policies.
Changes to this policy. We may update this policy from time to time. The “Effective date” at the top shows the latest version. If we make significant changes, we will post a notice on the Website.
