A membership with New Essence Health is built on a simple premise: everything you need should already be included, considered, and ready — not itemized after the fact.
Unlimited generic medications, delivered to your door, at no additional charge. Medications without a generic equivalent, such as insulin or certain hormone therapies, are not included, though a low-cost option is always available for those as well. Beyond the first year, generics remain available at cost. If you have health insurance, you are always welcome to use it for medications at your preferred pharmacy instead.
Labs and imaging carry a fraction of what insurance billing typically commands — drawn locally, priced plainly, and free of the markups that follow a claim through. Should you prefer to use insurance instead, the choice remains entirely yours.
Included with enrollment is your Essence Care Health Kit — a blood pressure monitor, pulse oximeter, thermometer, and scale, each tool hand-picked by Dr. Badrun, one per household. Real data, monitored at home and ready for her to review, so no visit begins from nothing.

New Essence Health operates on a membership-based Direct Primary Care (DPC) model, rather than billing insurance for our services — it is not health insurance. This means no claims, no surprise bills, and no administrative back-and-forth — just more time with your physician and transparent, personalized care.
While we do not bill insurance directly, we encourage members to maintain their own health insurance for hospitalizations, emergency care, specialty care, and other services outside our practice. Many DPC patients choose to pair their membership with a high-deductible or catastrophic health insurance plan, or a health share plan, for exactly this reason.
At this time, individuals enrolled in Medicare, Medicaid, TRICARE, or CHAMPVA are not eligible for New Essence Health membership. This helps us stay compliant with federal and state program requirements while keeping our private-pay membership model simple and transparent.
As of 2026, memberships at or below $150 monthly for an individual, or $300 monthly for a family, qualify — provided you maintain enrollment in a qualifying High-Deductible Health Plan (HDHP).
For those without insurance, Direct Primary Care may be the most affordable and accessible path to consistent, high-quality healthcare you have ever experienced.
For those with existing coverage, we recommend pairing your membership with a high-deductible or catastrophic health plan for specialist and hospital needs.
You may leave at any time. We ask only for a month's notice.
